About us

Furry Friends is a partnership between our pet and their owner. After years of trying various products on the market that were not kind to Gus’ skin or the environment, we decided to take it upon ourselves to create a new range of pet grooming products tailored to the needs of Gus and his furry friends that work for them without being harmful to the environment.

It's been a long process, with a lot of product testing to get things absolutely right but we're finally here!

We're also super proud to have our products made with love, here in the UK. We really hope you enjoy these products just as much as we do.

Feel free to join the community and share your experience of using Furry Family Essentials on our and your social media; we would love to hear from you and your furry friend!

With love,

Gus

Finally, a cologne that doesn't make my spaniel sneeze! Furry Family Essentials smells like a countryside stroll after the rain – subtle, clean, and very classy.

People actually asked me what aftershave my lab was wearing. It’s that good. Really impressed with the quality!

Gorgeous bottle and even better scent. Smells more like a boutique cologne than anything for dogs. Would definitely repurchase.

FAQs

Is dog cologne safe for my dog’s skin and overall health?

Absolutely—so long as it’s specifically formulated for our furry friends. These colognes often avoid alcohol and harsh chemicals, and you should always perform a patch test to check for allergies. If any redness, itching, or irritation appears, stop using it and consult your vet

How often should I apply dog cologne?

Most dogs only need a light spritz once or twice a week, typically after a bath or before social outings. Over-spraying can irritate your pets’s skin and overwhelm their sense of smell

Can I use human cologne on my dog?

No. Human perfumes contain ingredients—like alcohol concentrations and synthetic fragrances—that can irritate your dog's skin, disrupt pH, or even be toxic. Always use a product designed for canines

Will dog cologne get rid of bad odours?

Dog cologne masks and freshens up mild odours, but won’t eliminate the root cause—like dirt buildup, skin conditions, or infections. It’s best used alongside regular grooming and baths, and if smells persist, you should consult your vet to rule out health issues
